Whilst sifting through my time line on twitter, I read this guest post on subject support blog.
I like the post and tried to write a comment, but it wouldn’t allow me.for some reason.
Here is my response…
Some good suggestions from Michael here. However, I would suggest that students would find it much more powerful to receive feedback on their social and personal skills rather than performance based feedback.
Social skills could include being patient and supporting others, giving helpful feedback or taking on different roles to support a group. Personal skills could be beginning to challenge yourself, coping and reacting positively to failure and persevering with a task in order to improve.
By focusing on these abilities (rather than the practical performance) it reinforces the behaviours of effective, motivated and resilient learners, who in turn, will make more progress physically as a result. #realpe
