Setting in PE – part 6

The more I think and write about setting in PE, the more ideas I have about possible solutions.
The latest idea is the concept of creating new sets every time the curriculum changes. In our context, this would be every 8 weeks.

The setting would be based on the ability predominantly (but not exclusively) required by the activity e.g. Dance and gym – creativity, OAA – social, invasion games – cognitive, etc.
Would the constant changing of groups have a detrimental impact on learning?
